100 Miles and a Shower

Day 6 – 18.3 miles – Miles 91.2 to 109.5

Today we crossed the 100 mile mark. It’s pretty significant and is immortalized by several rock formations created on the trail. We knew by using a highly accurate iPhone app that tells us exactly where we are on the trail as well.

At mile 109 we arrived at the Warner Springs Resource Center in Warner Springs. They do a magnificent job supporting PCT hikers. Trail supplies, cold drinks, and free camping. They also provide hot and cold running water for bucket showers and laundry. Don’t think we’ve done bucket showers before but they were wonderfully refreshing. We’re now clean and our filthy hiking clothes are clean too.
