Woke up in St George, Utah at the Comfort Inn & Suites. Had a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs and sausage.
Drove from there to Cedar City, Utah. Shopped at Wal-Mart. Bought groceries and a new camp light. Went to the Utah State Liquor Store and bought a box of Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Topped off our gas.
Drove to Bryce Canyon National Park. Used our Senior Access Pass to get in. Found a nice campsite in Loop D of the North Campground. 1/2 price for senior campers but we still don’t feel like “seniors”. Anyway, $10 per night.
Set up camp and then headed to the nearby trails. Really incredible scenery! Walked down the Queen’s Garden Trail to begin. Stopped at the Queen Victoria viewpoint and took several pictures along the way.
Continued on the trail which we think was the Navajo Loop and then up Wall Street. Really cool switchbacks in a very narrow canyon between hoodoos.
Back to the rim and to camp. Wine and popcorn for happy hour. Subway sandwich (tuna) for dinner.
Finished up and headed for the tent. Quite cold and breezy so glad to have our warm sleeping bags. Elaine won the cribbage game. Weather supposed to be clear and cold. 25 in the morning.
