Today, we managed our longest trainer so far. 12.2 miles in just over 4 hours. We came through it pretty well considering we increased our pack loads by 50% to 34-38 pounds.
We are increasing distance and weight to be ready for those 20+ milers we’ll do on the PCT. Endurance is the key!
We aren’t just fair weather hikers either. Above is a view of the Olympic Mountains from the trail and you can see the scudding clouds as the rain dribbled on us during our whole hike
You guys are definitely a couple of tough cookies! You inspire me.
